Hardik denounced the invasive behaviour in a social media post, saying that although prominent personalities may take criticism as part of their lives, there are lines that should never be violated.

However, the regrettable event happened on Tuesday when Mahieka was leaving a restaurant in Bandra and was photographed from an unsuitable position. Hardik publicly criticised the actions and demanded accountability as the pictures and videos quickly went viral.
“I am aware that being in the spotlight entails scrutiny and attention; it is a necessary aspect of the life I have chosen. However, something occurred today that went too far. At a restaurant in Bandra, Mahieka was just making her way down a staircase when paparazzi chose to picture her from a position that no woman should be in. Cheap sensationalism was created out of a private moment. This is about basic respect, not about who clicked what or what the headlines say.
Women should be treated with respect. Boundaries are deserved by everybody. I always cooperate and I respect the media brothers who put forth a lot of effort every day. However, I’m asking everyone to exercise a bit more mindfulness. It’s not necessary to record everything. It’s not necessary to consider every angle. In this game, let’s maintain some humanity. In an Instagram story, Hardik commented, “Thank you.”
