After the event management business in charge of the celebrations released a public statement online, the postponement of singer-composer Muchhal and Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s wedding, which was initially planned for November 23, took a new turn.
Following the suspension of the celebrations, Krayonz Entertainment, which was in charge of planning the high-profile ceremony, sent an enigmatic message on Instagram a week ago, igniting further conjecture on social media.
“Even though we don’t win every game we play in life, the sportsman spirit is what matters most. Each member of our team deserves a mention for their hard work, joy, and pride! Champion, I’ll see you soon,” the brand wrote on Instagram.

Now that the post has gone viral, many people have praised its sensitive and encouraging tone, while others have already begun to speculate. The original date of the couple’s wedding was November 23. But on the day of the wedding, Mandhana’s father became seriously ill and had to be taken to the hospital, which put an end to the festivities.
When Muchhal was taken to a hospital in Sangli, Mandhana’s hometown, on November 24 and then moved to Mumbai, worries grew. The wedding had been postponed because of the medical situation that affected both families, according to the cricketer’s business manager.
The couple’s pre-wedding activities had been going strong up until that time. The magnificent Mehendi and Haldi ceremonies had been held, and multiple recordings of the happy occasions had gone viral on fan pages. When the festivities were suddenly stopped, this merely heightened popular interest.
Mandhana’s removal of all of her wedding photos from Instagram was what really set off a social media frenzy.
Both families subsequently stressed, nevertheless, that the postponement was only caused by medical emergencies. Since then, Muchhal and Mandhana’s father have been released, though no new date has been given. Mandhana and Muchhal subtly added the nazar emoji to their Instagram bios after noticing the growing hysteria. This generated new speculations about symbolism and hidden messages rather than settling speculation.
Amita, Muchhal’s mother, has recently voiced her hope that the wedding will happen soon. In the meantime, his sister Palak made a privacy plea on Instagram, asking followers to refrain from making assumptions about the family’s circumstances. Shravan Mandhana, Mandhana’s brother, responded to the reports as well, stating that no additional plans for the wedding have been formed.
