Anamul Haque, a former opener for Bangladesh, demanded on Saturday that the Bangladesh Cricket Board present evidence of any misconduct that resulted in his removal from the draft list of players for the Bangladesh Premier League.
On Facebook Live, the right-handed batter, who was kicked out of the final draft list of the BPL auction along with seven other cricket players for their involvement in match-fixing allegations during the previous tournament, stated that if he is found guilty, the board should ban him from all cricket-related activities, but he must publicly prove it.
“The BCB takes any accusation of corruption very seriously. As BPL Season 12 approached, the Independent Chair of the Integrity Unit advised the Governing Council on what needed to be done to further protect the League. “A number of people, including some players, have not been invited to participate in this year’s tournament based on that advice,” BCB stated in a statement on Saturday, outlining their decision.
“This particular BPL provision was implemented to safeguard the league’s integrity and guarantee the fairness of the investigative process. The board further stated, “It does not apply to other domestic cricket events held under the BCB’s jurisdiction.”
Anamul Haque vented his dissatisfaction on social media after failing to get an explanation from BCB representatives over the phone.

Anamul Haque said, “Perhaps the live wouldn’t have been required if they had replied.
“Anamul Haque first query is, therefore, what was the rationale for my removal from the draft following today’s news? Am I at fault? I want proof if I am guilty. I want to tell BCB and the BPL Governing Council on behalf of the Bangladeshi people that if I am found guilty, I should be banned for life.
For many people, I am not a favourite player, a good teammate, or even a decent player. Well, thank God, I don’t have to play any more. I’m not required to play if I’m guilty. If I’m not, then you’ve degraded me in every manner imaginable, making me feel insignificant. Who is responsible for this embarrassment? Who will give me back my honour? At what point does this end? That’s my initial query. What is the outcome of this, and who will repay my honour?” he enquired.

I’ve never seen the BCB give a clear press conference outlining a player’s guilt or innocence. Such a conference and publicity have not occurred. Why didn’t they take action? “That can also be a question,” he stated, noting that he has not yet received full payment from the BPL from the previous year.
“The third question is, I had a 50 lakh taka contract in the BPL last year. I barely got twenty lakh of that. The remaining 30 lakh taka has not yet been given to me. I have visited those in charge at BPL and BCB in person, made numerous phone calls, and exchanged emails over the past year. Even though I showed them my checks from the Rajshahi team, they were empty. I requested that they do something. I still haven’t received my 30 lakh taka, though, after a year. How come I didn’t get it? Why haven’t I received it yet? “I would like to know why,” he uttered.
“My point is this. The previous year has already passed. Put me on suspension if you have evidence against me. I will gladly take it. Tell the whole nation that I am a bad person, that I am guilty, and that I am not a good person. Otherwise, you will have to repay my honour. “You must take responsibility for the harm done to my reputation,” he stated.
“I had nothing further to say to you. Why would a team want to sign a boy involved in a fixing incident, even if my name is mentioned in the BPL again? However, I get demand every year. Thank God, there are still opportunities, whether it’s in the first or second call or because I’ve played for large organisations. Therefore, my only regret and grief is that I did not receive the honour I am due from the BPL Governing Council or BCB,” he stated.
“And I want to make it very clear to everyone here who loves and supports me: I am completely honest. I haven’t committed any crimes for which I should be held accountable. All of you are greatly appreciated. I hope BCB pays attention to these issues and takes action. I appreciate your trust in me. I’m grateful that you love me,” he said.
