Virat Kohli on Chinnaswamy Connection

Virat Kohli, the batsman for Ace India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, openly discussed his affection for Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium during an event in Mumbai.

He said that most of the places he has performed at have given him a warm reception. But Virat Kohli saved particular recognition for the Chinnaswamy, calling it a “very special” stadium.

“To be quite honest, I have had a lot of support in most of the venues where I have performed, and the audience have been incredible. However, the location that most strikes me is, of course, the Chinnaswamy in Bengaluru. Yes, that field will always hold a special place in my heart’, Virat Kohli said during the Asian Paints event.

Since the IPL’s first season, Virat Kohli has consistently played for RCB.

For those who are unaware, Asian Paints was recently announced as India’s three-year colour partner by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Prior to two ICC competitions in 2026—the T20 World Cup and the Women’s T20 World Cup—the multinational corporation announced that it would be collaborating with the Indian team. The estimated value of the three-year partnership is INR 45 crore.

In their forthcoming ODI series against South Africa, Kohli, who was a key member of RCB during their championship run earlier in the year (657 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 144.71), will make his competitive cricket debut. After the Champions Trophy in the United Arab Emirates, he had just played three games against Australia in Australia, which was his first series of competitive matches.
