Karun Nair Stirs Talk With Tweet

Ace batsman Karun Nair frequently uses the internet to share his emotions. The Indian team’s batting order failed to perform well in the ongoing second Test match against South Africa at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, prompting the sportsman to post a mysterious remark on his official social media account once more.

After a poor tour of England, Nair was unfairly dropped from the team, as his social media post implied. In the first session of the third day of the match, India lost four wickets in quick succession, and Nair seemed to be feeling as though he was designed just to prevent such a catastrophic collapse of the national side.

After the third day’s opening session, Nair wrote on his official ‘X’ account, “My own sting.”

Some conditions carry a feel you know by heart — and the silence of not being out there adds its own sting.

With a half-century opening partnership between KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal, India got off to a cautious start after the South Africans, who had been batting for over two days, reached 489 in the first innings. However, the Indians had only managed 102 runs at the close of the first session on Day 3 and had lost four wickets, leaving the hosts with a massive 387-run disadvantage.

With little batting left, captain Rishabh Pant was expected to lead the squad, but he was also caught by the Proteas when Marco Jansen edged him to wicketkeeper Kyle Verrynne. The Indians were in serious trouble, and shortly afterward, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravindra Jadeja also returned to the dressing room.

Regarding Karun Nair’s recent batting breakthrough, he has been playing brilliantly for Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy 2025–2026. He has a couple of hundreds and as many fifties to his name, and with 602 runs in just seven innings at an average of 100.33, he is presently the fourth-highest run scorer in the tournament. His next event is the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025, which begins on November 26.
