Josh Inglis, a wicketkeeper-batter, has joined the hosts’ team. Aidan O’Connor has also been replaced.In preparation for the forthcoming tour match against the England Lions at Lilac Hill Park in Perth, Cricket Australia has made adjustments to its 13-man roster. The first Test of the Ashes 2025–2026 is scheduled to begin on Friday, November 21.
Mackenzie Harvey will play for the team, and in addition to Inglis, international players Jake Fraser-McGurk and Jhye Richardson will secure a place in the 13-man lineup. All members of the squad will be permitted to participate in the match as it will be a tour game and not considered an official First-Class match; the playing XI will not be revealed.

In addition, Caelan Maladay joins the team announced last week in place of Aidan O’Connor. In a statement released on Thursday, November 20, Cricket Australia stated that all thirteen players will be permitted to participate in the game.

Ashes fever continues
Both teams looked well-prepared for the match, even though the tour match is a pale comparison to the intense Ashes. Australia, captained by Steven Smith, has stated that Jake Weatherald and Brendan Doggett will be playing their first Test matches. Usman Khawaja will open with Weatherald, but the bowler would be considered the third change following Scott Boland and Mitchell Starc.
