Beau Webster, Australia’s current Test all-rounder, has claimed eight wickets, including two from Travis Head and one from Alex Carey. However, Liam Scott and Ben Manenti led South Australia to their first Sheffield Shield victory in Hobart, making it insufficient for Tasmania.
The defending champions rallied from 88 for 5 to chase down the mark of 217, needing to produce the highest innings of a bowler-dominated game.
One of the heroes was Manenti, a cult favorite who scored an undefeated 49 from No. 8. Additionally, Manenti helped bowl the Tigers out for 184 in Tasmania’s second innings by taking the vital wickets of Brad Hope, Tim Ward, and Beau Webster.
