During the third ODI in Sydney in India’s three-match series Down Under, Indian ODI vice-captain Shreyas Iyer had a splenic injury and was taken to the hospital. A picture of the middle-order batter’s first alleged public appearance following the injury has gone viral online, indicating that he has now made a full recovery.
Shreyas Iyer was hurt while racing backwards toward the third man boundary in the series’ last ODI while trying to catch Alex Carey’s shot.
His hospitalization resulted from internal bleeding caused by the accident. A recent picture of Shreyas Iyer with a fan has gone viral on social media, suggesting that he is feeling considerably better after over ten days of recuperation. Still, the supporters are overjoyed to see him recovering and can’t wait for him to play again.
