A fan was seen putting up his jersey at a convocation ceremony in a recently circulated video, to which Indian wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul responded. The famous cricket player advised his fans not to make similar gestures again.
KL Rahul made it clear that he had nothing to do with the fan’s academic success and emphasized that the convocation was a milestone in the fan’s life that should be recognized for their own diligence and hard work. He said that although he was grateful for the praise, the fan shouldn’t have given someone else such a unique experience.
“I’ve observed this. I believe he had a board with him earlier. So lovely, but he should keep it to himself; it was his time. Don’t give it to someone else; this is your moment, and you are graduating.
On the “2 Sloggers” YouTube channel, KL Rahul stated, “I have not assisted him in graduating.”
Speaking candidly about his fitness, the 33-year-old said that maintaining an attractively toned body has always been his aim. He disclosed that he has long been affected by the fitness of former English football player David Beckham and that he finds motivation in him.
“I’ve always aimed to be both physically and aesthetically fit. Even if many cricket players are more physically fit than those who are visually fit, you don’t get that feeling when they take off their T-shirts. That was always my dream.
KL Rahul declared, “I’m a Beckham fan,” or “I’m another Beckham fan.”
As India’s second-highest run scorer in 2025, Rahul has had an incredible year, scoring 986 runs from 24 innings at an average of 49.30 across all formats. His most recent appearance came during India’s just finished three-match ODI series against Australia, in which he amassed 49 runs in two innings as the Men in Blue lost the series 1-2.
KL Rahul is anticipated to be included in India’s team for the forthcoming two-match home Test series against South Africa. The first Test is set to start on November 14 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
