Not having won an ICC tournament does not indicate that Virat Kohli was not a capable leader. Salman Butt

In recent years, many would agree that Virat Kohli has been one of the best batters in the game of cricket. Nevertheless, the former Indian captain’s inability to win an ICC tournament spurred supporters to criticise his performance as captain. Several individuals say Kohli failed as Indian team captain because he did not win a big tournament.

Yet, the fact that Kohli has not win an ICC tournament with India does not make him a failure as a captain, according to former Pakistan captain Salman Butt.

“Those who do not have a strong understanding of cricket evaluate a captain’s performance mainly on his performance in the Champions Trophy or World Cup. If you have a high win percentage and are a brilliant tactician, but have not won a major event, it would be unfair to conclude that you have not been a successful captain “Butt expressed in a YouTube video.

“There may have been a few errors in high-pressure games, or it may have simply been a matter of good fortune. The fact that [Virat Kohli] did not win an ICC event does not indicate that he was not a strong leader “Butt remarked.

Kohli intends to regain form in red-ball cricket.

Kohli is currently participating in the four-match Test series between India and Australia. On March 1, India faced Australia in the third Test at Holkar Stadium. India only managed to score 109 runs after a terrible start. The 34-year-old Virat Kohli scored the most runs for the home team, with 22 runs off 52 deliveries.

Travis Head, the Australian opener, was dismissed early on by India, but Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne gave Australia the perfect start. Jadeja sent Khawaja back to the pavilion after he scored an outstanding 60 runs off 147 deliveries. Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel must succeed on Day 2 for India to have any chance of a comeback, after only Ravindra Jadeja managed to take wickets on Day 1.
