‘Gill in Perfect Spot with Rohit, Virat Around’ – All-Rounder

India captain Shubman Gill will have the ideal chance to develop both personally and as a captain during the white-ball series against Australia, according to star all-rounder Axar Patel. With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli available for the 50-over portion of the crucial assignment, India will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and five Twenty20 Internationals on their forthcoming tour of Australia.

Gill, who was just named the head of the ODI team, does not face any outside pressure, according to Axar.

He also mentioned how younger players’ confidence has grown as a result of the Indian Premier League. According to the 31-year-old, Gill benefits from the assistance of more experienced players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. He also had faith in the team’s ability to work together harmoniously.

“Shubman Gill gets off to a great start as captain if it occurs—a ideal start in ODIs like England.

Since being captain, he has not been under any pressure. That’s an excellent attribute. Along with other captains, I played. We’re getting younger players now. This is a time of change. With the children, we are imparting knowledge. The play style is what we are discussing. India Today cited Axar as saying, “The kids are ready to go right away because they are playing in the IPL.”

The presence of both Virat and Rohit is a fantastic illustration for Shubman. We are witnessing the change taking place. Additionally, it’s beneficial that the elderly are with the younger generation at this stage. The children will be able to deal with problems. Talking on what to do and what not to do on the pitch is a constant topic in the dressing room. Shubman Gill is in a great position because both Virat and Rohit are in the locker room. This is a fantastic chance for him to develop as a captain. The combination of young people and seniors is ideal, and we will get along just well,” he continued.

India will play the first ODI on Sunday, October 19, to begin the eight-match white-ball series. Rohit and Kohli will only play in the T20I series because they have already retired from both T20Is and Test matches. The Men in Blue’s mainstay is Suryakumar Yadav, while Gill serves as vice-captain for the 20-over leg.
