After India defeated Pakistan by five wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 28, to win the Asia Cup 2025 final, Arshdeep Singh, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana made a light-hearted jab at Pakistani batsman Abrar Ahmed.
Ahmed’s characteristic head shake was imitated by the left-arm pacer, and his colleagues joined in the fun. Sanju Samson, a batsman and wicketkeeper, was also seen chuckling at the antics of his teammates in an Instagram video that Arshdeep posted.

On the field, Tilak Varma’s game-winning performance helped India win the Asia Cup for the tenth time. India won thanks to the left-hander’s undefeated 69 from 53 balls, which included three fours and four sixes. Sanju Samson, who contributed 24 runs, and Shivam Dube, who scored 33, provided him with vital support. Pakistan’s best bowler was Faheem Ashraf, who finished with three wickets at a cost of 29 runs.
With 57 runs from 38 balls, including five fours and three sixes, Sahibzada Farhan led Pakistan to 146 all out in 19.1 overs in the first innings. Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub also contributed 46 and 14, respectively. All other batters in Pakistan’s batting lineup were removed for single-figure scores as they struggled.
Throughout, India’s bowling assault was in control. Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy, and Jasprit Bumrah each took two wickets, but Kuldeep Yadav stole the show with 4/30.
After winning all seven of the Asia Cup’s matches, India finished the competition with an undefeated record. In this tournament, the Men in Blue also triumphed three times over Pakistan, demonstrating their superiority over their bitter enemies.
Pakistan will return home to play a two-match Test series against South Africa beginning on October 12, while India will now consider their next assignment, which is a two-match Test series against the West Indies beginning on October 2 in Ahmedabad.
