On Sunday, September 28, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, during the Asia Cup 2025 final between India and Pakistan, Jasprit Bumrah pulled off an astonishing feat. In a moment of retaliation for the two teams’ earlier encounter in the Super Fours match, Bumrah perfectly responded to his Pakistani counterpart after taking out Haris Rauf by imitating the “fighter jet” celebration.
Bumrah rushed in to bowl his third over of the evening, taking the wicket in the eighteenth over. The batter’s defence was breached after Rauf failed to pick a fiery full-length ball.
The Men in Green lost their ninth wicket as a result, as Bumrah claimed his first of the match after giving up 18 runs in his opening two overs in Dubai.

A little while later, the Ahmedabad-born bowler returned to bowl the final over, this time dismissing Mohammad Nawaz, and took the penultimate wicket of the innings. The Indians were given an easy goal to chase as Rinku Singh at the deep mid-wicket region completed a straightforward catch that saw the Salman Ali Agha team swept out for just 146 runs. Kuldeep Yadav, a left-arm unconventional spinner, outperformed Bumrah with an incredible four-wicket haul, three of which came in the sixteenth over.
After choosing to field first, the Suryakumar Yadav-led team made a strong comeback in the second half of the innings thanks to Kuldeep’s spell, which absolutely broke the back of Pakistani batting. The opening pair of Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman were dismissed as a result of Varun Chakravarthy taking a couple of wickets and fulfilling his four-overs quota.
The Indian batting squad will now have the responsibility of chasing the 147-run total, and openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill will have a difficult job.
