Asia Cup 2025 Final Washed Out: Who Wins?

The 2025 Asia Cup final between India and Pakistan is scheduled for Sunday, September 28 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. This will be the first time the bitter rivals have faced each other in the Asia Cup finals.

In the current Asia Cup, India has the advantage over Pakistan after defeating the Men in Green twice in two encounters.

With six straight victories, the team captained by Suryakumar Yadav is undefeated in the competition.

As of yet, rain has not stopped any match. Some fans, nevertheless, have been speculating about what would occur if the final is cancelled.

In the event that the match concludes without a result for any reason, including bad weather, the trophy will be divided among the finalists, as per the Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) regulations for the multi-nation competition.

The odds of a shared prize are slim, though, because there is a reserve day planned. Monday, September 29 is the reserve day.

As in the Champions Trophy final in 2002, India and Sri Lanka shared the title, although this has never happened in the Asia Cup.

The match will be moved to the following day if play is impossible or the game is abandoned on September 28, the original match day.

India enters this match fresh off an exciting victory over Sri Lanka in Friday’s Super Over. India reached 202/5 in their 20 overs thanks to a scorching half-century from Abhishek Sharma, who has been the finest hitter to yet in this tournament. But Sri Lanka tied the score thanks to Pathum Nissanka’s first T20I century. The Super Over was ultimately won by the Men in Blue.

In the meantime, Pakistan earned a trip to the final by defeating Bangladesh in a simulated semi-final match on Thursday. They were asked to bat first and were limited to just 135/8. But Saim Ayub, Haris Rauf, and Shaheen Shah Afridi played amazing spells to limit Bangladesh to 124/9.
