Pathan: He Must Be in India’s Final Squad

Irfan Pathan, a former Indian cricket player, has encouraged the administration of the Indian cricket team to include Arshdeep Singh in the 2025 Asia Cup final. In an exciting Super Four match in Dubai, India defeated Sri Lanka because to Arshdeep’s outstanding Super Over.

Irfan reaffirmed his belief that Arshdeep is the best bowler for situations in which the team needs to hit yorkers from both ends to contain the opposition’s hitters. He added that if Arshdeep had been a member of the thought tank, he would have always been chosen for the T20I team.

As I’ve stated since day one, it’s not just about today. Because you need yorkers from both ends in some instances, he should always be in the starting lineup. The battle went straight down to the last second, as you witnessed today. Arshdeep will always be a part of my team. Irfan told the broadcasters after the game, “And I’ve been saying this from the very first day.”

Pathan enumerated Arshdeep’s qualities that prepare him for the final. He went so far as to compare Arshdeep’s yorker-bowling abilities to Bumrah’s.

First of all, buddy, he’s as cool as ice. He requests the ball under duress. When it counts, he bowls, and he always hits the yorkers in the final over. He is prepared. He gives such yorkers shoulder to shoulder with Bumrah. He’s a bowler of that calibre, in my opinion,” he continued.

On Sunday, September 28, India will play Pakistan in the continental tournament final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. In the last Super Fours match, they defeated the Lankans to prolong their winning streak.

Even though he had previously let up 46 runs in his allocated four-over quota, Arshdeep’s Super Over genius earned it for the Men in Blue. Arshdeep set up an exciting triumph for India by giving up just two runs and taking as many wickets as possible.
