Following India’s six-wicket victory against Pakistan in the Asia Cup Super-Four match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 21, supporters think Arshdeep Singh made a crude jab at Haris Rauf.
Arshdeep has only participated in one Asia Cup match in 2025.
The Punjabi player became the fastest bowler to 100 wickets in T20I cricket after taking one wicket against Oman in a meaningless match. Even though Arshdeep hasn’t had many chances to show off his skills on the pitch during the continental tournament, the left-arm seamer has been gaining the affection of Indian supporters by his positive contacts with them both in person and on social media.
In a recent video that has gone viral on social media, Arshdeep is seen pointing at the audience while creating a plane with his palm and slamming it on his butt. Supporters believe it is the ideal response to Haris Rauf’s “6-0” gesture during the India vs. Pakistan match, which alluded to Pakistan’s unsubstantiated claims of taking down six Indian fighter jets following Operation Sindoor.

After chasing down a 172-run mark in just 18.5 overs with six wickets remaining, India triumphed over Pakistan. Abhishek Sharma’s explosive half-century earned him the Player of the Match title. With six fours and five sixes, the southpaw scored 74 runs off 39 balls. Tilak Varma and Shubman Gill also played a significant role in laying the groundwork for the victory. Shivam Dube, who took two wickets in four overs earlier in the match, was India’s best bowler.
On Wednesday, September 24, the Men in Blue will play in Dubai. However, on Tuesday, 23rd, Pakistan will play Sri Lanka at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Pakistan and Sri Lanka both suffered defeats in their opening games in the Asia Cup Super-Four stage. Their chances of making it to the final will almost disappear if they lose on Tuesday.
