UAE vs Pakistan, Match 10 – Who Said What | Asia Cup 2025

After India, Pakistan secured their spot in the Super Four from Group A by defeating the United Arab Emirates by 41 runs in Match 10 of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Before a cool half-century from Fakhar Zaman (50 off 36) guaranteed Pakistan’s escape from dire circumstances, Junaid Siddique struck twice in his opening two overs to dismiss Pakistan openers Saim Ayub (0 off 2) and Sahibzada Farhan (5 off 12). But shortly after reaching the milestone, he was fired. The UAE was in the lead after a middle-order breakdown.

Similar to his performance against India, Shaheen Shah Afridi was the Green Shirts’ favourite batsman once more. At the end of 20 overs, Pakistan reached a good score thanks to his undefeated 14-ball 29. The best bowlers for the home team were Simranjeet Singh (3/26 in four overs) and Siddique (4/18 in four overs).

The UAE had a strong start to their innings. They did, however, lose three wickets by the end of their powerplay. Dhruv Parashar and Rahul Chopra kept the ship afloat and made sure the UAE didn’t lose wickets in quick succession.

The spin combination of Ayub (1/18) and Abrar Ahmed (2/13) held things tight, though, as neither batter was able to escape, scoring less than runs per ball. Eventually, the UAE collapsed under strain and were bowled out for 105 in 17.4 overs, with wickets dropping in piles.

Who Made What Remark?

The player of the match is Shaheen Shah Afridi.

merely working out in the nets. I attempt to perform the same thing whenever I practise. eagerly anticipating the next games. We lost wickets early on and again in the middle overs. It’s my responsibility to go hit the ball. I want to give the team the early breakthrough they needed.

Waseem Muhammad (Losing Captain)

Our bowlers deserve praise, in my opinion. We limited them to a small sum. Our batting caused us to lose the game. Even though we lost three wickets in the powerplay, we were still playing brilliantly. However, after the fifteenth over, they lost wickets. Some accountability has to be assumed by our middle-order. Our experience was positive. We faced up against Pakistan and India. We aim to put all of the knowledge we gained to use in the next contests.

Salman Ali Agha, the victorious captain

We got the job done but we needed to bat better in the middle overs. The bowlers performed admirably. We still haven’t given it our all. The score would have been 170-180 if we had batted properly. Shaheen wins matches. He’s gotten better at batting. Abrar has performed admirably. We’re getting back into games thanks to him. We are prepared to take on any task. We can play well against any team if we play good cricket.
