In mid-September, the West Indies will go to Bangladesh to play a white-ball series that includes three ODIs and as many T20Is as possible.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Tuesday that the Bir Shrestho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium, formerly known as Zahur Ahmed Cricket Stadium in Chattogram, will host the three-match ODI series while the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka will host the Twenty20 Internationals.
Bangladesh’s home season will start on September 18 when they play the West Indies in the first match of the ODI series. The next two games are scheduled for September 20 and 23.
Later, on October 27, both teams will travel to the port city to play the first match of the T20I series. The following two shorter format matches are set for September 30 and November 1.
Given that it will be their final chance to practise and examine their lineups prior to the ICC T20 World Cup, which is set to begin in India and Sri Lanka in February of next year, the series is vital for both hosts and visitors.
