A new chapter in the legendary India-Pakistan rivalry is about to be written in the cricket community. On Sunday, September 14, the two teams will face off in Asia Cup match No. 6 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
According to former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar, Suryakumar Yadav and company may face difficulties due to Pakistan’s lineup’s plethora of spinners. Manjrekar pointed out that although Pakistan is typically renowned for their formidable pace-bowling assault, the Men in Green will try to dominate with their spinners this time.
Manjrekar stated on Sony Sports Network, “I like this bowling combination because it’s India vs. Pakistan, and I feel this attack might give the Indian batters something different to think about.”
They have previously faced Pakistan in international competitions, but generally in the face of a particular type of assault. There is absolutely no pace on display here, and perhaps Wasim [Akram] would detest it,” he continued.

Manjrekar praised Mike Hesson, the head coach of Pakistan, for using his resources to the most. The former cricket player turned broadcaster also noted that since Hesson’s arrival, opening batsman Saim Ayub has bowled more frequently.

Sanjay Manjrekar noted that early in the game, Pakistan bowled a lot of spin overs to restrict the Oman batters.
“Can you picture the opening eight or six overs? There were only two pace overs; the rest were spin. Amazing,” he remarked.
The spin trio of Sufiyan Muqeem, Mohammad Nawaz, and Abrar Ahmed is anticipated to enter the game for Pakistan. Like he did against Oman, Saim Ayub could open the bowling once more.
