England’s 100/0 in the Powerplay is the fourth time a Full Member side has scored 100 or more runs during that phase. Australia’s 113/1 victory over Scotland in Edinburgh last year still stands as the biggest, but South Africa’s 102/0 victory over the West Indies in Centurion in 2023 is the highest against a Full Member side.
When ball-by-ball data is available, England’s halftime total of 166/1 surpasses Australia’s previous high of 156/3 against Scotland in Edinburgh in 2024 as the highest total ever at the end of the tenth over in a T20 International. Only Sunrisers Hyderabad’s 167/0 (in 9.4 overs) versus LSG in Hyderabad during the IPL 2024 is the highest total at the same point in an innings in all T20s when ball-by-ball stats are kept.
The earliest a team has reached the 200-mark in any T20 match when ball-by-ball statistics are available is 12.1 overs, which England took to reach that milestone. Zimbabwe’s 12.5 overs against Gambia in Nairobi in 2024 was the previous fastest.
After Zimbabwe’s 57 (30 fours and 27 sixes) against Gambia in Nairobi in 2024, England’s 48 boundaries (30 fours and 18 sixes) are the second-most by a side in a Twenty20 International innings.
