Rajat Patidar, the captain of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), has responded to the terrible stampede that occurred on June 4 during the team’s title celebrations in and around Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. For everyone present, the tragic event that occurred earlier this year turned into a terrifying experience.
Virat Kohli’s initial formal statement about the event was made public online just a short time before Patidar’s comments. Patidar’s and the team’s unfailing love and concern for RCB’s fans, which has become so strong over the years from both sides, was the main focus of his speech.
“I always walk out for RCB with passion, and you are the source of that passion. From your faith, your love, and your steadfast assistance. You have consistently supported us. Additionally, I sincerely hope you know that we also support you. All of you have been in my prayers and thoughts.
We’ll regain our strength if we all stick together,” Patidar wrote in a post posted on RCB’s official social media account.
RCB Cares, their new fund, has officially been revealed. This effort was started with the intention of empowering, fostering, and strengthening the fan base. A total of INR 25 lakh has already been promised to each of the impacted families, on top of the INR 10 lakh that was initially pledged. In order to stop such situations in the future, it will work with the Karnataka State Cricket Association and the IPL on crowd management measures.
The Justice John Michael D’Cunha Commission was established by the Karnataka state government to conduct a comprehensive and impartial investigation into the June 4 tragedy that claimed the lives of eleven innocent people. After careful examination, it was discovered that the infrastructure and venue layout were not suitable for events with large people.
During the Karnataka Assembly’s monsoon session, the tragic occurrence was also thoroughly explored. Siddaramaiah, the chief minister of Karnataka, stated that same catastrophes have happened worldwide in India as well. Additionally, he asserted that in such circumstances, no one in India had ever accepted responsibility or resigned. Many well-known opposition figures staged a walkout in response to this declaration.
