Vancouver is preparing for an unprecedented athletic extravaganza. Ahead of the official draft, the Canada Super 60, the nation’s first professional T10 cricket league, today revealed its first group of international talents, and the roster is absolutely incredible.
Piyush Chawla, Quinton de Kock, Shakib al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Jason Roy, Dawid Malan, David Wiese, Ravi Bopara, Chris Lynn, Alex Hales, Imran Tahir, Isuru Udana, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and many more cricketing titans will make their first appearance at BC Place, one of the most recognizable indoor sports venues in the world.
International legends will be joined by Canada’s top domestic talent across six exciting franchises: the Brampton Blitz, Mississauga Masters, Montreal Tigers, Vancouver Kings, Toronto Sixers, and Whiterock Warriors.
This will create a cricket festival that combines top-notch entertainment with the distinctive West Coast feel of Vancouver.
This first edition features an unparalleled combination of bowling genius and batting force. Quinton de Kock’s bold stroke play, Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s courageous six-hitting, Chris Lynn, Jason Roy, and Alex Hales’ flamboyance, Dawid Malan’s class, and Shakib al Hasan and Moeen Ali’s all-around skill are all things fans can anticipate.
BC Place is going to see pyrotechnics like never before when you combine it with the skill of spin legends like Piyush Chawla and Imran Tahir, as well as the speed of Andrew Tye and Dwaine Pretorius. In addition to matches, this gathering of cricket’s best players promises moments that will shape the sport’s future in Canada.
The first week of September will see the sale of tickets for the BC Place tournament scheduled for October 8–13, 2025. As spectators from all around Canada and beyond prepare to see history being made, demand is anticipated to be high due to the limited seats available under the closed roof of Vancouver’s largest stage.
Former Scottish captain and league assistant tournament director Kyle Coetzer stated:
“The pre-draft signings have greatly pleased us. Seeing such elite athletes visit BC Place for the first time gives this legendary facility a new feel. The goal of Canada Super 60 is to give cricket fans the greatest entertainment possible, mixed with the spirit of the West Coast in Vancouver. This is only the beginning of something truly unique.
Cricket Canada President Amjad Bajwa stated:
“The caliber of players signed provides Canadian cricketers with an exceptional opportunity to train and play with international stars.” This league’s player power has the potential to elevate the game nationwide.
The Canada Super 60 is set to become the biggest athletic event of the fall and a significant event for cricket in North America thanks to international firepower, Canadian pride, and one of the most stunning venues in the world.
