Jayant Yadav, an offspinner for India, has committed to Puducherry for the forthcoming domestic campaign. Haryana, the team he has played for since making his first-class debut in 2011–12, has given him a NOC.

Since Haryana won the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2023–24, he hasn’t played regularly in white-ball tournaments. The management of the squad has chosen Rahul Tewatia and Nishant Sindhu, two spin all-rounders, over Jayant.

Additionally, he has amassed 2924 first-class runs, with three hundreds and fourteen half-centuries, including a peak of 211 against Karnataka in 2012–13. He and Amit Mishra compiled a record 392 runs for the eighth wicket during the innings.
Along with Mumbai wicketkeeper Siddhant Adhatrao and Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Puneet Datey, Jayant Yadav will be one of three professionals at Puducherry. Jayant Yadav, the nephew of former India hitter Wasim Jaffer, is thought to have been a late addition to the team in lieu of Mumbai batter Armaan Jaffer.
