Cheteshwar Pujara, a former Indian cricket player, has stated that he would be delighted to coach the Indian team in the future. On August 24, 2025, Pujara, 37, announced the end of his international career. Cheteshwar Pujara also talked about the happiness that broadcasting has brought him. “I would be willing to serve Indian cricket in any capacity that is possible,” he said.
“I must admit that I have enjoyed my profession in radio. I will therefore undoubtedly keep doing it. I’ll be available to coaching or any other work at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (NCA). I haven’t really given it any thought. I’ll attempt to answer a call whenever the chance presents itself. As I previously stated, I would like to continue playing the game. The Hindu cited Cheteshwar Pujara as stating, “I’ll be more than happy to contribute in whatever way I can to Indian cricket.”
Cheteshwar Pujara thanked his late mother Reena Pujara, wife Puja Pabari, and father Arvind Pujara for their encouragement and contributions during his cricket career.
“Cheteshwar Pujara father also experienced an emotional event.
He was also an inspiration to me since I learnt a lot from him and he had a great dedication to cricket. However, I also want to thank my mother. My mother taught me a lot, but she passed away from cancer when I was 17. I learnt how to be a decent person from her. According to my wife Pooja’s book, “it takes a village for a person to be a successful cricketer,” Pujara continued.
Cheteshwar Pujara was never taken into consideration after playing his final international match for India in June 2023. Pujara represented India in five ODIs and 103 Test matches. In the longest format, he finished with 7195 runs at an average of 43.60, which included 19 hundreds and 35 half-centuries.
