Recently, while delayed in Mumbai traffic, India’s ODI captain Rohit Sharma was spotted waving at one of his fans. While operating his just acquired Lamborghini Urus SE, Rohit recognised and gave a fan the thumbs up.
The cricket player has been spending time with his family during his hiatus from the game. His most recent vehicle acquisition, a Lamborghini Urus SE valued at approximately INR 4.5 crore, attracted a lot of interest. The SUV was Rohit Sharma second Lamborghini Urus, and it was completed in an eye-catching orange Arancio Argos.
The unique number plate “3015” on his new Lamborghini symbolises the dates of the birth of his son Ahaan (November 15, 2024) and daughter Samaira (December 30, 2018). It’s interesting to note that 45, his famous Indian jersey number, is the result of adding 30 and 15.
Notably, the number “264” on his blue Lamborghini Urus stood for his world-record ODI innings against Sri Lanka in 2014. The Nagpur native even gave that car to a Dream11 contest winner earlier this year. The incident, meantime, happened on Saturday morning when Rohit got caught in traffic while driving his automobile.

Rohit Sharma will be on the India-Australia tour.
It’s interesting to see that rumours of his retirement alongside Virat Kohli have also made headlines. Vice-President of the BCCI Rajeev Shukla, however, denied the rumours and clarified that both legends would still play ODIs.
“They retired when? Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will both continue to play ODIs, so why discuss their departure at this time? Why are you all already worried? We have a very clear policy. No player is ever told to retire by the BCCI. He must decide for himself. India Today reported Shukla as saying, “He has to answer this call himself.”
Both players were crucial to India’s championship effort during the Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai, where they were last seen playing for their country. Later this year, both players will feature in the series against Australia.
