At 1:30 PM on Tuesday, August 19, the All India Men’s Senior Selection Committee was scheduled to reveal the India team’s squad for the forthcoming Asia Cup. Due to a flight delay, the announcement, which was supposed to take place at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Headquarters in Mumbai, has reportedly been postponed till further notice.
Ajit Agarkar, the chief selector, may have arrived at the meeting location later than expected due to the flight delay, which was made worse by the city’s constant rain. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued red alerts for a number of areas in Mumbai and permitted only sluggish traffic flow, which has caused problems for the general people.
It has already been reported that the team announcement has been postponed due to the rain and airline delays. The information was disseminated by senior journalist Amol Karhadkar on his official social media account.
According to the most recent images on JioHotstar, Agarkar arrived at the BCCI headquarters at around 2:00 PM. Since it will take a long time to speak with captain Suryakumar Yadav, it is likely that the final squad announcement won’t be made until around 3 PM, which is at least an hour and a half later than the scheduled time.
