Last-minute changes in squad leadership have resulted from the injury that has forced R. Sai Kishore, the TNCA President’s XI captain and seasoned left-arm spinner from Tamil Nadu, to miss the Buchi Babu Tournament 2025.
Sai Kishore was supposed to captain the TNCA President’s XI in the forthcoming competition after having a stellar IPL 2025 season with the Gujarat Titans.
But because of his injuries, Pradosh Ranjan Paul has been named the new captain by the team’s management. M. Shahrukh Khan will captain the TNCA XI, and Paul, who was initially designated captain of the TNCA XI, will now captain the President’s XI.
Both squads have undergone a reorganisation as a result of the leadership changes. P. Vignesh joins the President’s XI, and P. Vidyuth leaves the TNCA XI to join the TNCA President’s XI. However, for personal reasons, M. Siddharth moves from the TNCA President’s XI to the TNCA XI. These modifications follow Vignesh Puthur’s impressive IPL 2025 performance with the Mumbai Indians.
The updated team for Tamil Nadu:
C. Andre Siddarth C (Vice-Capt.), B. Indrajith, Vijay Shankar, R. Vimal Khumar, S. Radhakrishnan, S. Lokeshwar, G. Ajitesh, J. Hemchudeshan, R.S. Ambrish, C.V. Achyuth, H. Trilok Nag, P. Saravana Kumar, P. Vidyuth, and K. Abhinav comprise the TNCA President’s XI.

Under the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), the Buchi Babu Tournament, which began as a memorial event, attracted a lot of interest in the late 1960s. It was once thought to be India’s top first-class championship prior to the Ranji Trophy. Interestingly, the competition remains a vital part of the domestic schedule. The 2025 tournament will take place in Chennai from August 18 to September 9, right before the Duleep Trophy, which will begin the new domestic season.
