[WATCH] Arshdeep Singh mimics fan chant, leaves Yashasvi Jaiswal laughing

A humorous moment outside the stadium caught everyone’s attention as the Indian players were making their way to the team van following the last Test match against England. As starter Yashasvi Jaiswal departed the pitch, a little fan yelled, “Jaiswal, Jaiswal,” with great enthusiasm.

Jaiswal was in stitches when left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh, who was strolling with him, heard the chant and playfully imitated the fan in a high-pitched voice.

In relation to Yashasvi Jaiswal, the youthful opener’s series versus England was outstanding.

With 411 runs at an average of 41.10, including two hundreds and two fifties, he played in all five Test matches. Throughout the series, Arshdeep, who has not yet made his Test debut, was actively associated with the team but stayed on the sidelines.

With the Asia Cup 2025 starting on September 9 in the United Arab Emirates, Arshdeep is anticipated to create an impression. In the T20I-format competition, which will serve as training for the 2026 T20 World Cup, which will be held in India and Sri Lanka, he is probably going to lead India’s bowling attack. Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma are serious candidates for the starting spots, therefore Jaiswal’s place in the Asia Cup squad is up in the air.

Speaking of India’s performance in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, they won the fifth and final Test match at The Oval by an exciting six-run margin over England. In a hotly contested six-week five-Test series, the victory guaranteed a 2-2 draw.

The hero of the last day was Mohammed Siraj, a right-arm bowler who claimed five wickets for 104 runs. Siraj won Player of the Match after taking Gus Atkinson’s final wicket to end England’s innings. With 23 wickets, he concluded the tour as the top wicket-taker.
