'Treat to watch' – Sachin Tendulkar praises Yashasvi Jaiswal’s performances in England

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s batting exploits during the most recent five-match Test series between England and India were praised by former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. In his debut red-ball series in England, Jaiswal amassed 411 runs in 10 innings.

When Yashasvi Jaiswal struck a spectacular century in the third innings against a strong English attack in the fifth and final match of the series, the renowned Indian cricketer was impressed by the Uttar Pradesh-born player’s ability to see situations dynamically and respond with the bat accordingly. With over two days remaining, the visitors set a massive 374-run target for the hosts with to Jaiswal’s knock.

“Yashasvi Jaiswal attitude impressed me. He is a daring batter who understands when to accelerate, when to move to the non-striker’s end, and when to see through a phase. In the first Test, he struck a century on a challenging surface where the ball moved about a little bit—not as much or for as long as we had hoped—but he was crucial, Sachin said on Reddit.

A terrific series for Yashasvi Jaiswal, a treat to watch: Sachin

Known affectionately as the God of Cricket, Sachin also praised the young opening batsman for taking the initiative to lead Akash Deep (who ended up scoring 66 off 94 in India’s second innings of the final Test) during a very risky century stand for the third wicket.

He produced an incredible hundred on a challenging track in the most recent Test match. The tracks weren’t too hard before that, but the final one was hard to bat on. He shown a great deal of maturity, character, and resolve. the manner in which he led Akash Deep. It’s not a batter’s job to score runs on his own; it’s also about forming relationships. He contributed to Akash Deep’s motivation. Overall, it’s a great series for Yashasvi and a pleasure to watch,” he continued.

Jaiswal was instrumental in helping India draw the series, and his 411 total in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy included two fifties and numerous hundreds. The team captained by Shubman Gill tied the series at 2-2 with an exciting six-run victory in the last game.
