Sachin Tendulkar praises Mohammed Siraj – ‘I love the spring in his step’

Mohammed Siraj defeated England in the recently ended Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, taking the most wickets. After participating in all five Test matches, he took 23 wickets at an average of 32.43. India won the last Test at The Oval by an exciting six runs thanks to his five-for. Against a formidable England team, the somewhat inexperienced Shubman Gill-led team tied the series 2-2.

Experts and supporters alike have been praising Siraj for his incredible display of perseverance and tenacity during the thrilling Test series. The renowned Sachin Tendulkar was among the experts who praised Siraj for his outstanding performances against Ben Stokes and company.

Tendulkar praised Siraj’s demeanour and strategy, stating that he never stops attacking the batsmen no matter what the circumstances of the game. The Master Blaster said that the former England captain will pick someone who bowls his overs softly if he is given the choice between Siraj and the in-form Joe Root.

“Incredible. Excellent strategy. I adore his disposition. I adore the bounce in his gait. You won’t be able to tell if he has taken five wickets or none at all if you only watch his body language and ignore the scoreboard. Body language is the same. Approach and attitude are the same. That’s how a quick bowler is in your face all the time. It is disliked by all batters.

Joe Root is a world-class batsman who has scored a lot of runs. If you ask him if he would rather face Siraj or have someone else bowl to him quietly, he would say that he would rather have someone else bowl to him. since Siraj is constantly in your presence. One way or another, he will take action. Tendulkar stated, “So that’s what Siraj is all about,” in reference to the Hyderabad pacer’s performance.

Siraj’s ability to bowl at 90 mph on the final day of the series, despite having bowled over 1000 balls during the series, also amazed Tendulkar.

“Even on the final day, he bowled more than 1000 deliveries across the series. On the last day of the fifth Test, I could hear the commentators stating that he hit a speed of 90 mph in the final few deliveries. Therefore, it demonstrates the size of a fast bowler’s heart when he bowls 1000+ deliveries in a series while still hitting 90 mph in the final stages,” he continued. 4.

Tendulkar also highlighted some of Siraj’s series misfortunes, such as his regrettable dismissal in the final stages of the Lord’s Test and his dismissal of Harry Brook on Day 4 of the Oval Test. The former captain of India stated that he thought Siraj would have a strong series finale.
