East Zone has already announced its team for the forthcoming red-ball competition, the Duleep Trophy 2025, which is quickly approaching. Ace batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran has been selected as the squad’s deputy captain by the zonal selection committee, while great wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has been named captain.
Some of the top stars in the Indian pace attack at the moment are part of East Zone’s bowling assault. Mohammed Shami is the most notable addition to the roster; he will return to red-ball cricket after a long absence. In addition, Shami will have Akash Deep and Mukesh Kumar to round out the Bengal pacer trio.
