After making his debut for his country in the fourth Test of the current England-India five-match series, Anshul Kamboj spoke candidly. In his debut, he scored 48 runs and claimed a wicket in his first 10 overs. When evaluating his performance, Kamboj was candid and seems committed to improving on the third day.
“After taking my first wicket in international cricket, I felt good. I had the goal of striking the proper spots from the beginning. While some supplies landed successfully, others did not. To be honest, I’m still not quite happy with the way I bowl. Speaking to Star Sports, Anshul Kamboj stated, “I’ll try to get better and perform better tomorrow.”
He also discussed the strategy he and the Indian bowlers had for bowling on Day 3.
“During my first two stints, I made an attempt to work harder. I concentrated on supporting my areas of strength and being true to them during the third spell. We’ll try to bowl in favourable places once more tomorrow, July 25, and try to get rid of them as soon as we can. Since they are more interested in striking fours than taking singles, it will be crucial to set boundaries,” Anshul Kamboj continued.
In the short time he has been in the team, Anshul Kamboj said he has learnt a lot from the frontline pacers.
“I learn a lot from Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah by seeing what they do in various circumstances and figuring out what has to be done. We communicate with each other all the time, and it all comes down to adjusting to the circumstances and the match,” the debutant said.
In the 46 overs they bowled to the hosts on the second day of play, India only claimed two wickets. Ben Duckett (94 off 100) was a significant wicket taken by Kamboj. Duckett’s opening partner was taken out by Ravindra Jadeja.
