BCB to donate 3rd T20I proceeds to jet crash victims

The BCB declared that the proceeds from the third Twenty20 International of the three-match series between Bangladesh and Pakistan would be given to the July Shaheed Smrity Foundation and the grieving relatives of those killed in the tragic jet crash at Milestone College in Uttara.

The BCB President, Aminul Islam Bulbul, discussed how Bangladesh cricket is commemorating the victims of Monday’s deadly tragedy, which has claimed at least 30 lives to date. The training jet crashed into the capital’s school grounds, injuring almost 170 people. Consequently, the board want to contribute to a social cause.

The BCB is honoured to be able to help those who have suffered greatly in these recent events find some measure of solace.

In Bangladesh, cricket is more than just a game; it’s ingrained in our culture. Our community must unite at times of mourning and remembering. According to the board’s press release dated Thursday, July 24, Bulbul said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the victims.”

The hosts defeat Pakistan in their first T20I series.

In relation to the series, Bangladesh won the first two matches by 7 wickets and 8 runs, respectively, to defeat Pakistan 2-1. Jaker Ali (55 off 48) and Parvez Hossain Emon (56* off 39) each won Player of the Match for their half-centuries. In both of these games, the hosts bowled incredibly well.

However, the Bangla Tigers did not finish the series in the manner they had hoped. In the end, they lost badly by 74 runs in the final match in Dhaka. Pakistan reached 178/7 thanks to Sahibzada Farhan’s 63 off 41, but they were able to dismiss the opponents for a pitiful 104 in 16.4 overs thanks to a well-rounded bowling performance. Only two players had double-digit scores: Mohammad Saifuddin (35* off 34) and Mohammad Naim (10 off 17).
