Liam Dawson last played Tests against South Africa in July 2017. He has seven wickets in three Tests. His last T20I series was at home against the West Indies last month. Dawson was the joint-highest wicket-taker with five from three games.
Liam Dawson , 35, has played 212 first-class matches, taking 371 wickets at 31.54. With a first-class average of 35.29, 56 fifties, and 18 centuries, he is a useful lower-order batsman. Dawson is an accurate left-arm spinner. Rehan Ahmed, Jack Leach, and Tom Hartley were also considered after Bashir’s injury. The Three Lions have chosen the Swindon-born.
