Mohammed Siraj was crucial for India on Day 2 of the third Test at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on Friday, July 11. The seasoned seamer helped Jasprit Bumrah score his first five-for at the Home of Cricket.
First-day wicketless Mohammed Siraj bowled Jamie Smith and Brydon Carse on Day 2. After dismissing Smith, who scored a 56-ball 51 and was caught by wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel, Mohammed Siraj formed the No. 20 symbol. The speedster paid respect to Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota, who died in a Spanish vehicle accident on July 3. He and his brother Andre Silva died after their Lamborghini strayed off the road and caught fire. Jota wore No. 20 for Liverpool.
Many footballers have paid respect to them during matches since their death. Siraj, who typically does Cristiano Ronaldo’s “Siu” celebration after taking wickets, honoured Jota and his brother on Friday.
