Yashasvi Jaiswal pulls back Goa NOC plea, set to remain with Mumbai

Yashasvi Jaiswal, an Indian Test opener, has withdrawn his wish to relocate to Goa and will remain with Mumbai. Prior to his withdrawal on Monday, June 30, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) had granted the 23-year-old a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the transfer.

Yashasvi Jaiswal last played for Mumbai in a Ranji Trophy game at the BKC stadium the previous season. He is currently with the Indian squad in England.

The No Objection Certificate (NOC) that Yashasvi Jaiswal had previously sought to represent a different state has been revoked by the Apex Council. In a statement, the MCA stated that he will be accessible for Mumbai.

Mumbai cricket has always been pleased to have produced Yashasvi Jaiswal.

The Association president, Ajinkya Naik, stated, “We have approved his withdrawal NOC application, and he will be available for Mumbai in the upcoming domestic season.”

In ten Ranji Trophy games for Mumbai, the left-handed batsman has amassed 863 runs at an average of 53.93, including four hundreds. He has amassed five hundreds and 1,296 runs at an average of 58 in 25 innings of List A cricket. He has amassed 648 runs in 26 innings while playing for Mumbai in the T20 format.

Arman Jaffer and Sidhant Adatrao have been granted NOCs and will play for Pondicherry in the forthcoming domestic season, according to the MCA. This development has been formally confirmed by the Pondicherry Cricket Association. Puneet Datey, a former player for Madhya Pradesh, will join them on the Southern team.

The MCA has established a committee devoted to the growth and well-being of players with disabilities, which is another noteworthy step.

“The Council has chosen to establish a Differently-Abled Players Cricket Committee as a move towards inclusivity and in accordance with the MCA Constitution. These rulings demonstrate the MCA’s unwavering dedication to tradition, diversity, and the advancement of cricket at all levels, the organisation stated.
