A woman from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, accused Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal of being exploited and harassed under false pretences of marriage, putting him in legal hot water. The CM office has now instructed the Ghaziabad police to look into the claims, which include financial, physical, and emotional abuse. The complaints were formally submitted through the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s online grievance system (IGRS).
Charges Against Yash Dayal
The woman, who allegedly dated the 27-year-old cricket player for five years, has accused Yash Dayal of deceiving her by promising to marry her. She claimed to have been physically, psychologically, and emotionally abused in her statement that was included in the First Information Report (FIR). She claimed that Yash Dayal forced her to fully trust him by introducing her to his family and posing as his prospective wife.
But when the unidentified woman challenged Yash Dayal, she was allegedly subjected to physical assault and ongoing psychological abuse. Additionally, the complaint claims that throughout their relationship, Yash Dayal often borrowed money from her and never paid it back. According to India Today, she also charged him of having previously engaged in similar exploitative relationships with other women.
Evidence presented against the RCB pacer
The woman has provided evidence, such as screenshots, video call recordings, chat logs, and photos, to back up her claims. On June 14, 2025, she first called the Women’s Helpline (181), but she said that at the police station level, no real progress was accomplished. She brought the issue up with the Chief Minister’s office when nothing changed. The Circle Officer (CO) of Indirapuram has now been asked to provide a report to the Chief Minister’s office, and the police have been given until July 21 to finish their investigation.
The cricketer, who hails from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, has played for his state in every domestic format. He made waves during the 2025 Indian Premier League by helping RCB win the title with 13 wickets in 15 innings. He played for the Gujarat Titans for two seasons before to joining RCB. As of right now, neither Dayal nor any of his aides have provided an official statement on the accusations.
