Sunil Gavaskar is currently commentating on the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in England. Cricket fans were moved by his jubilation when Rishabh Pant hit a century in the second innings of the first Test match at Headingley, Leeds. Gavaskar was hoping to witness Pant’s signature somersault celebration. The wicketkeeper-batter, however, put everything on hold in order to concentrate on strengthening India’s position.
Sadly, England managed to chase down a 371-run mark with five wickets remaining, and Pant, who also made a century in the first innings, ended himself on the losing side. On Wednesday, July 2, the second Test will start in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
