Yograj Singh discussed the gym culture that has emerged among cricket players recently and contrasted it with the almost nonexistent gym culture of the past. After turning 35, when the body begins to gradually give up, the former Indian cricket player thought that the gym was only for cricket players. He believed that younger cricket players didn’t need to go to the gym.

According to the well-known cricket coach, the younger players’ ailments are a result of their hard lifting. Pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, and core exercises were acceptable to Yograj, but he advised the present cricket players to limit their gym time. Since the bodies of previous cricket players were flexible, he believed that the injuries were insignificant.

“Bumrah has sustained four injuries. Do you know why? The reason is that (gym).

“The fact that cricket players visit the gym astounds me. The gym is designed for those between the ages of 35 and 36. Your muscles will become rigid otherwise. However, someone ought to be aware of his actions. When you are going down, between the ages of 36 and 37, you begin to strengthen. In an interview with InsideSport, Yograj Singh stated, “Then I can understand the gym will work.”

However, kids are going to the gym today. We are injured because of this. I may say that there were no injuries thirty to forty years ago. Because playing cricket requires a body that is extremely flexible and gymnast-like. Perform bodyweight exercises such as push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, and core exercises. But for heaven’s sake, don’t send cricket players to the gym,” Yograj continued.
