Kane Williamson picks two Indian players in his future Fab Four list

After the present senior cricket players retire, Kane Williamson shared his thoughts on the players who might make up the Fab 4.

The Kiwi batter believes that Cameron Green, Rachin Ravindra, Harry Brook, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal have the potential to be future stars. Because they are young and have lots of time to develop and establish themselves, Kane Williamson believed that these guys are competitive.

Kane Williamson also discussed how franchise cricket is becoming more and more popular than international cricket.

“Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Rachin Ravindra, and Harry Brook are the players that spring to mind when considering multi-format. Cam Green, too. All of those players are exceptional and have displayed amazing moments across all formats. They are all young, and their games are only getting better. Kane Williamson stated to Cricket Monthly

“I guess you learn more lessons the more you do it. In the end, it’s a chance to try to figure out how you want to go about doing it. Additionally, you are most likely playing domestic cricket, which is typically played during windows, before you are exposed to it [at the international level,” the former New Zealand captain continued.

Kane Williamson also discussed the players’ increasing tendency and preference for franchise cricket. He said that players may not need to make much changes to their game in the near future and that red-ball competition might be followed by the 50-over format and then T20 cricket. Williamson admitted that T20 cricket is more popular now, but he was thankful to have grown up during the red-ball era.

“You may have a one-day competition after your red-ball [competition] and then a T20 competition. Therefore, there isn’t a lot of rapid crossover that requires you to alter your approach and then return to [the prior] format,” Kane Williamson continued.
