The first team to earn a spot in the IPL 2025 Finals is RCB, who will play the PBKS on Tuesday, June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Mo Bobat, the director of cricket at RCB, talked about how the squad advanced to the playoffs and, ultimately, the championship match as the team advanced to the summit match.
Bobat asserted that the management was under pressure from the supporters to win a championship for the team, which had long eluded them. Bobat asserted that no one needed to remind them of their lack of a championship. The 41-year-old asserted that the management’s true goal was to motivate the supporters by winning games and, eventually, championships. He believed that the fans were considerably more motivated to support RCB this time around after their 2024 comeback.
“Someone will remind you that you have a trophy to win before you’ve been in Bengaluru for very long. To inspire our fans is, in my opinion, the true goal and goal. According to Mo Bobat, via RCB: Journey to the Finals, “We’re blessed with incredibly loyal fans, and I think our number one task is to inspire them.”
As a coach, DK truly brings value: Bobat
“Obviously, winning cricket matches is how we accomplish that, but it’s also how we play and the things we accomplish along the road. In the first episode of ‘RCB’s Journey to the Finale,’ Bobat continued, “I’m pretty sure that the way we turned our season around was an inspiration to people even last season.”
After learning of Dinesh Karthik‘s intention to retire, he went on to discuss bringing him on board as a mentor and asserted that the management was eager to have him join the coaching team. Bobat went on to say that he believed Karthik could be a valuable teacher even before the former RCB hitter considered quitting.
“As soon as I learnt that DK was thinking about retiring, we were eager to include him. And to be honest, I already believed that he would be a valuable coach before that,” he added.
