[Watch] Indian legends are Rashid Khan’s favourite batters, bowlers, and all-rounders in the 2025 Indian Premier League

In both the Indian Premier League (IPL) and international cricket, Rashid Khan has bowled to some of the best hitters. Rashid Khan has so far taken 45, 199, and 161 wickets in six Test matches, 114 ODIs, and 96 T20Is for the Blue Tigers.

Rashid Khan is participating in the 18th IPL season in India right now. He was asked to list his top cricket players at a function he recently attended in Mohali. The Nangarhar native named his favourite bowler, all-rounder, and batsman as Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Virat Kohli, respectively.

“Pandya Hardik. My favourite all-around player is him. The renowned Afghanistan leg-spinner stated, “Batter Virat bhai and bowler Jasprit Bumrah,” in a video that was uploaded to ‘X’.

Rashid Khan has yet another disappointing IPL season.

Rashid’s season-high 27 wickets (17 matches) came in the 2023 Indian Premier League. But in 12 games last year, he was only able to take 10 wickets at an average of 36.70. Fans and experts believed that the veteran in the lucrative league had a one-time poor performance. The leg-spinner was also given a vote of confidence by Gujarat Titans (GT) management, who kept him for an incredible INR 18 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega-auction.

But in IPL 2025, Rashid’s lacklustre play has persisted. In 14 games, he has only claimed nine wickets. He has had a dismal average of 53.67. Rashid has given up runs at a 9.47 economy rate. It’s hard to link him to these pitiful figures.

Gujarat ended the league campaign in third place, giving the veteran a chance to make amends in the playoffs. In the Eliminator, they will play the Mumbai Indians. Rashid enjoys performing on stage, and if GT were to win their second IPL championship, he would need to be a major contributor.
