Shubman Gill will be the new captain of the Indian Test team for the forthcoming five-match England series, which was confirmed on May 24. In the red-ball format, this will make him the 37th player to captain the Indian squad.

Shubman Gill discussed his thoughts on the series as well as the roles played by Indian cricket greats Rohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Virat Kohli in the success of the Indian side in Test matches.
