“The weather has been threatening,” said MI coach Mahela Jayawardene regarding the possibility of a rain delay for the match against DC.

He asserted that their six-game winning streak kept them in the competition. “After that run, we were consistently in the running for the playoffs. For us, it’s wonderful to play cricket and begin the tournament (again). The boys have been looking forward to this, and training has gone well. Let’s focus on each match one at a time. “It’s a great position to be here, and it’s within our control,” Jayawardene stated during the press conference.

He went on to discuss the players’ message, which was to stick to the procedures and routines they had established thus far in the competition. MI deserved to be in their current place, according to the former captain of the T20 World Cup, and he believed the players will give it their all for the rest of the competition.

“I told the boys to make sure we follow our procedures, routines, training techniques, planning strategies, and how we approached this event.
