Aakash Chopra believes that Rishabh Pant would recover from his IPL 2025 elimination because “failures will change Pant’s mindset.”

During a difficult time, it seems like nothing works. The days feel longer, and the nights longer. "That's when you learn—and recover," Chopra remarked.

Regarding Rishabh Pant's subpar performance in the 2025 Indian Premier League, Kris Srikkanth said, "They should say enough, just go and spend some time away."

After the string of setbacks, former Indian cricket player Aakash Chopra predicted that Rishabh Pant will likely shift his perspective. After losing against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on May 19, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were eliminated from the 2025 Indian Premier League.

The wicketkeeper-batter’s form has been erratic, Chopra noted. He went on to say that Pant should welcome this difficult time as a teaching moment so that he can recover more quickly.

You might learn a few things from success. However, failures genuinely alter your perspective, frequently permanently. This season was important because he isn’t a regular in the Indian T20 team. An opportunity to leave an impression and form a solid team. That hasn’t been the case. Another lesson is that his own form has been uneven. Does he modify or maintain this strategy in T20s? During a difficult time, it seems like nothing works. The days feel longer, and the nights longer. At that point, you gain knowledge and recover. What a horror this has been. Chopra stated during Kuhl Fans Match Centre Live on JioHotstar, “The good thing about nightmares is that you eventually wake up.”

Rishabh Pant is going to awaken: Aaron

Varun Aaron, a former Indian bowler, said that the team was depending too much on the left-hander. The bowler, who was born in Jharkhand, said that Pant should slightly change his approach because he seemed to be having second thoughts while making the shot. “I am confident that a good player like Pant will recover and quickly find his rhythm,” he said.

He was crucial to LSG, particularly in the middle order. Marsh was the only one who actually scored. Pant didn’t really get going this season and appeared hesitant right from the beginning. It indicates that a player is not playing well. That would have been a blast into the stands from a prime Pant. He chipped it directly to the bowler today. He will wake up and is a good player. All he has to do is change his strategy a little. He hasn’t scored from behind square this season because bowlers aren’t allowing him make those hits. He found success with the 45-degree angles at Arun Jaitley Stadium. They haven’t on larger grounds,” Aaron remarked.
