The match was cancelled due to a floodlight problem that occurred during the fall of the wicket. The announcement of the IPL 2025 suspension came less than twenty-four hours later.
Following the tournament’s rescheduling, it was determined that the PBKS vs. DC match at Dharamsala was void, with neither runs nor wickets counted towards the players’ records. Prior to it, PBKS had defeated LSG handily in the match that was played in Dharamsala.
