Notably, the former English captain has been named in both squads for England’s three ODI and as many T20I matches against the Caribbean team.

Buttler will now play as a specialist in the team after young batsman Harry Brook replaced the stumper-batter as skipper. The veteran player is probably going to go back home and play in bilateral series since he prioritises his national obligations over his IPL responsibilities with GT.
