According to many reports, Virat Kohli has informed the BCCI of his intention to retire from Test cricket. He is being urged to reconsider his choice by the Indian cricket board, which wants him to participate in the five-match Test series against England that begins on June 20.
Given that Rohit Sharma has already departed, Virat Kohli background would undoubtedly be helpful in England, where he has had a mixed record.
In relation to this, Michael Clarke, the former captain of Australia, thinks Kohli should stay in the game since he still has a lot of runs left. “Hopefully, the rumours are untrue. Clarke told Revsportz, “I think Virat still has a lot of Test runs left in him, and any team with him in it is a better team.”
It will be challenging for India to replace Rohit at the top, he continued.
