With just seven points from 11 games, SRH is now ranked eighth in the IPL 2025 points standings. The Orange Army would have liked to bid the home supporters a fond farewell, but they have already been eliminated from the tournament.
With five wins, the reigning champions KKR are currently sixth in the standings and will want to win the game to earn two more points and maintain their postseason hopes.
The franchise’s pace towards playoff qualification had also been hampered by the IPL’s interruption.
With a net run rate of +0.793, Gujarat Titans (GT) are now leading the points table. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is next with 16 points.
Three teams have already been eliminated: Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and SRH. Seven more teams are vying for a berth in the top four in order to advance to the playoffs. The BCCI has not yet released the schedule for the remaining games because the IPL has been delayed for a week.
