A few cricketers will also make a comeback in this series, including Gary Ballance, who will be a member of Zimbabwe’s coaching staff prior to the one-off Test match between the two teams. Given that the 35-year-old former batter has played for both Zimbabwe and England on the international scene and has an amazing record in county cricket with the Yorkshire team, Zimbabwe Cricket’s managing director, Givemore Makoni, also appeared thrilled to have him join the team.
On May 22, the Zimbabwean side will play England at Trent Bridge in a one-off Test match. There are outstanding players in each group who will want to show themselves in this four-day test match.
Gary Ballance joining our coaching staff for this historic trip makes us very happy. According to ESPNcricinfo, Makoni stated, “His extensive knowledge of English conditions, acquired through years of playing at the highest level, will be a valuable asset to our team’s tactical preparation.”
